I'm not a geek - then someone can you please advise if there is a setting or something I should use to prevent this. It was for me to 'restore' the machine to factory settings, but I am not convinced that this will help me? I called the service desk and the guy got me to uninstall and then reinstall something in Device Manager, but it did not help. I'm puzzled as to why he does on its own and why it is so random. If I restart the laptop wireless then works fine? It can sometimes go for days without problem, or it can play up to continually? The function keys don't seem to work as far as I can tell. There is a wireless switch between the keyboard and screen, but which has no effect. This happens randomly and not all the time I use the machine. The problem is that often when I use the laptop I suddenly lose the internet connection and troubleshooting knowledge than the 'wireless capability is turned off"even if I don't touch or whatever it is pressed. I bought my laptop in February last as something "Toshiba reconditioned. Satellite A660-17 t - wireless capability is turned off
